Community Projects

This page is dedicated to sharing community projects that Art Speaks is involved with. As we get more involved in the community, this site will have more updates.

The first ever All Abilities Art Expo was held April 7th 2018 in Akron, Ohio. This was an event that featured art work from artists around Ohio. Artists had the opportunity to showcase art work, connect with community organizations, find out about community projects and much more. There were eighteen artists from around Ohio who participated in this show. 

We will be having a show in the fall. We are looking for a venue for November 3rd, 2018. Submission for the fall show will be open August 15th, 2018 - September 30th, 2018.

Art Speaks Art Boxes

-We accept donations of recycled art supplies. We send them to kids and adults with disabilities around Ohio who wouldn't have access to them other wise. Depending on the volume of requests and supplies available. Some boxes might take longer to fulfill the needs of the applicant. We have the right to refuse any application. We try to send 3-4 boxes out monthly. 

To Qualify for an Arts Box 

-Must be Ohio Resident with a disability

-Must submit a valid address 

-Must fill all elements of the application.
