Reaching People

It is important to me to reach all types of people with disabilities around Ohio in my quest to put art supplies in people's hands.

Last month I noted conversation in the disability community about lack of access to programs, services and even art supplies. Many people cited that the cost of art supplies detered them from being able to do stuff they enioy like paint or crochet.

Most people on disability live on $750 or less a month. They don't think about buying art supplies. They are thinking more about paying rent, utilities, phone and transportation costs.

So part of my mission with Art Speaks is to give art supplies to kids and adults with disabilities around Ohio. To give them tools to create and give them resources to help them be engaged in the arts community.

Everyone has a story to tell. Sometimes art brings hope and acts a vehicle of communication. It makes difference in people's lives.

I am hoping to give art supplies to kids and adults with disabilities around Ohio. I don't just want reach people have a steady home or fancy house. I hope that i can even help few veterans or homeless individuals that maybe disabled. Maybe can help them have hope in their situation. All in all i hope that my Art boxes can help people near and far. I can hear testimonies and stories of hope how art box made difference down road.
